Happy 60th Birthday Papa

Today marks the 60th birthday for my beloved Papa, Abd Rahman Jantan.

To mark this memorable day, let me share to you peep out there who is my Papa to me. Today I will tell you how I am so lucky to have him as a maternal father. I list to you the TOP 5 characteristics that made my Papa a very wonderful person.

1. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

For me there are no one else in this world as patience as my Papa. I know we (the children) have done so much bad things, sometimes hurtful thing unimaginable towards him, and still he accepts us and forgave us with all his heart. Even if he was angry, he spoke very softly in a recognizable I-am_angry tone hahaha. My papa never raise his voice.. NEVER!! We've gone thru a lot, and everyone knows how patient he is.

2.PIOUS

I always remember my Papa to imam the solah we perform at home. He recites the Quran and surah beautifully. Even use the FB as a medium of dakwah and sending great-inspiring messages to  all his friends and family. I really love it when he change us to become better muslim/muslimah.

3. LOVING FATHER

He is ever such a loving father. I remembered Haizal (my brother) already got pocket money from my Mama (arwah), and he went to Papa for pocket money (extra)... Papa without knowing his tactic, fell into the trap and gave Haizal more pocket money. Even when he knew about this mischievous scheme Haizal has played, he just told Haizal to ask from Mama only, he wont give any more 'extra' pocket money. hahaha.. suits you adek!! When Haizal was warded coma, he kept on sitting besides his bed and recite Yaasin and all the versus in the Quran, taking care of Haizal as gentle as he can. That makes me teared up.

4. LOVING HUSBAND

I know I should not bring this up, but I always remember how Papa treat my Mama with all the love in his heart while she was healthy or in the worse condition because of breast cancer. What I remembered the most was how he collapsed after the burial of Mama and was crying until his shoulders shook. I also remembered how Papa became a soulless person after that. Yes. Thank to Ibu, everything changed for him. He became that loving husband again and that made him alive, TQ Ibu for that.

5.  LOVING SON & BROTHER

Not everyone knows that my Papa really took care of his family and siblings. I don't need to elaborate this. He was always there physically, morally and financially supporting his family in Kpg. Sepinang, Segamat Johor. Even as I write this blog, he supports her sister who was paralyzed because of stroke.


I know there are more to that in my Papa. I wish I can write everything. But I can't. He is so wonderful to be described by my limited words and page in the blog.

Papa, I hope you are proud of what I have became. It's because of Allah's blessing and your support that I am what I am today. I love you, Papa.
