Breast cancer fighters amongs us

Salam and a very good day readers.

Wow! I can't believe that I am actually blogging every day!! Enough about awesomeness-of-yourself Hezlin! Cut to the chase.

This few weeks I was really alarmed with friends or acquaintances with breast cancer. And they are having breast cancer at a young age!! One case, was suspected to have breast cancer at 33 years old and another at 34 years old, diagnosed during pregnancy!! How scary is that??

As some of my close friends know, my Mama passed away of breast cancer. So one of the genetic risk factor is there. Plus, I am considered overweight (are you sure you are not obese?????). Thus, I have to take every precaution that I could to prevent or at least try to prevent cancer to actually invade my body. However, talking is not the same as doing.

As my master's research was about breast cancer (but I have to change the title to cardiac surgery as I couldn't get the data, kan???), my research lead me to some good links:

1. http://www.breastcancer.org/risk/factors

2. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/breast-cancer/DS00328/DSECTION=risk-factors

3. http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/cancer-info/cancerstats/types/breast/riskfactors/breast-cancer-risk-factors

PPUM has the best specialist in breast cancer (i.e Prof Yip Cheng Har and Dr. Nor Aisyah). I read like dozens of their writing about Malaysian breast cancer. HKL has the most helpful breast surgoen ever (Dr. Nur Aina Emran). I met her personally fro one of  my research, and I think she is so kindly hearted and the most helpful doctor you can get.  HUKM is not bad too.

One of my recent encounter is one of my colleagues here in FSKM, UiTM. She is still battling with cancer and opened her own blog, openly sharing her journey in the fight to cure herself. Owh, how much I look up to her. So adorable and a very strong will woman!! Her name is the same like my Mama and whenever I walked passed her I feel like hugging her and tell her everything will be okay. She is a strong woman and I idolized her for her strength inside out!

Btw, you can follow her blog at http://www.breastcancernott.blogspot.com/

The morale of today's post:

1. Breast cancer is now one of the most prominent illness that can affect anyone, especially women. Men can have it too you know??

2. Try living as healthy as we can to prevent cancer from happening. Eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.. I know, easy said than done. But, at least we  should try!

3. Try to get your ideal weight (that goes for me!!!).

4. If you are already a breast cancer fighter, you are not alone! There are thousands of women out there that are cancer survivors and cancer fighters (or you can say warriors!). Reach to them and they surely will reach you back.

5. We can find all the best treatment and medicine in the world, but the Al-Mighty is the only one that can heal. Pray and ask from Him for recovery and the way to recovery. Even ask to prevent from having breast cancer (for those who are free from it). Only He knows the silver lining for every mishap and miseries in the world. From Him we come and to Him we will return. That's for sure!!!

Okay, time to get and air fryer and a fruit juicer. Where can I get a cheap and powerful one?? hmmmm.....

RIID Melaka 2012, here we come....

In order to survive in the main campus, we have to compete in every way we could. This is including entering competition like RIID. Well, it is more like just participating as our product is not that powerful to win any award. We, me and my partners-in-crime (Zuraida, Mudiana, Rahah and Zatul) enter RIID Melaka just to get an insight view of what the competition is all about and for the experience.  As Oscar Wilde's famous say "Experience is one thing you can't get for nothing".

What is our product??

Well you might thin it is lame... Here's a sneak preview of the nearly finished product. The Title is in the process of modification (difficult to get a catchy title you know!!).

I think that's about it. Pray for our success (in presentation of course!!! I am afraid I might chuckle or worst, freak out and faint!!!). I'll update on the outcome (alamak!! I have this feeling of we will just get a certificate and no medal... So, no high hopes).
